    The bait selection varies as the seasons progress, as does which bait you use on a particular fish at a given time of year. For example, during the spring, Striped Bass hit mainly on bloodworms, with clam as an alternate choice. During mid to late summer, however, the primary bait becomes fresh herring or bunker.
