Mealworms,(Darkling Beetle Larvae) Tenebrio molitor, Family: Coleoptera |
FRESHWATER BAITS. General used for trout fishing. We only carry these for the first few weeks of the trout season here in NJ. Mealworm (larva) averages 1" length, 1/8" thick. They have a tough yellowish brown exoskeleton. The larval stage may molt 9-20 times, so you will see shed casings in the containers with them.
Storage: Keep them out of direct sunlight or they transform to beetles faster!. The containers with bran and mealworms can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days. |
