NJ STRIPED BASS BONUS FISH PROGRAM

2012 Program information

Application Process:

The Striped Bass Bonus Program will continue in 2011, where anglers possessing a bonus permit may keep a third striper at 28 inches or greater. Check for regulation updates here.

Individuals who returned their 2010 logs WILL NOT automatically receive a 2012 Striped Bass Bonus Permit.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The permits are ONLY available online. Go to:
https://www.nj.wildlifelicense.com/start.php
Log in to the system, complete the application and immediately print one Bonus Permit; application fee $2.00/permit. The permit is non-transferable and valid for the 2012 Calendar Year. Only one permit can be used per day. Harvest reporting also must be done online (see below).

The part/charter boat segment of the program remains the same as 2011, with the applications available only by contacting fish and wildlife at 609-748-2020. The party/charter boat bonus program is not online.

TO APPLY: Once you have logged in (or registered if you are new.
1. Select: "Make a Purchase, Apply for a Permit or Re-Print a Previously Purchased Item" from the check menu.
2. You will have to fill out the child support information to proceed, if you have not already done so for this year.
3. Then you proceed to the the licensing page. Under Fishing Licenses & Permits, check off "Striped Bass Bonus Permit", then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click [Continue] button.
4. Confirm that the bonus permit is in the cart, then select method payment and follow the process through to the end.
5. Once paid, you can immediately print out your tag from the receipt page. There will be a link or button to print.
6. YOU MUST HAVE THE TAG WITH YOU WHEN YOU CATCH THE BONUS FISH AND IT MUST BE FILLED OUT IMMEDIATELY. Post the harvesting information online as soon as you get home.

HARVEST REPORTING

All information on the Bonus Permit must be completed immediately after harves and prior to transportation. After reporting harvest information at

anglers are then eligible to receive another bonus permit for the $2.00 application fee.

Harvest reporting must be done online.
• You have to log in to the licensing system.
• Then there is a check box menu where you can select "Submit Harvest Reporting" and click [Continue] button.
• After harvest reporting is done (as of 11/26/11) you have to go back to license purchasing page in the system in order to buy a new tag.

(I put in a request for a button to be placed on the last page of the harvest report page, to take you right to buying a new tag, but who knows if they read the complaints/comments, ~MizMo)

STRIPED BASS FISHING LOG

All participants receive a log with their Bonus Permit and are encouraged to report all striped bass fishing activity for the 2012 calendar year. Anglers now have the option to enter their striped bass fishing log online instead of mailing their paper fishing log. Go to:
