2006 Pheasant & Quail Stocking Schedule
Fish and Wildlife anticipates pheasant releases to bbe in excess of 50,000 birds and plans to purchase 5,200 quail for release as follows:
Pheasant and Quail Stocking:
The Assunpink, Berkshire Valley, Black River,
Clinton, Colliers Mills, Flatbrook, Fort Dix, Glassboro, Millville, Nantuxent, Pequest, Port
Republic, Tuckahoe, Walpack and Whittingham WMAs will be stocked with pheasants for the following dates:
Nov. 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30, 2006
Dec. 2, 16, 21, 23, 28 and 30, 2006
The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Heislerville, Howardsville, Mad Horse, Manahawkin, Manasquan, Medford, Stafford Forge and Winslow WMA's will be stocked with pheasants for the following dates:
Nov. 11, 18, 23 and 25, 2006
Dec. 2, 16, 21, 23, 28 and 30, 2006
The Greenwood Forest and Pealsee WMA's will be stocked with quail for the following dates:
Nov. 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30, 2006
Dec. 2, 16, 21, 23, 28 and 30, 2006
Fish and Wildlife reminds sportsmen and sportswomen that the pheasant and quail stocking list is tentative until approved by the Fish and Game Council in early October. The schedule is subjedt to pheasant production and may change due to emergency weather conditions.

2006 Pheasant Information
Pheasant Zones were eliminated in 2005. The daily bag limit is two pheasants of either-sex statewide(See exeptions for semi-wild and commerical perserves).
Pheasant and Quail Stamp Areas
Anyone aged 16 and over (except 16 year olds whose youth license remains valid through Dec. 31 of the year they turn 16), hunting or possessing pheasant or quail on the following designated Wildlife management areas, shall have in possession a current and valid Pheasant and Quail Stamp (Youth Hunting Licenses include a free pheasand and quail stamp): Assunpink, Berkshire Valley, Millville (Bevans), Black River, Clinton, Colliers Mills, Fort Dix, Flatbrook-Roy, Glassboro, Greenwood (including Pasadena-Howardsville), Heislerville, Tuckahoe (McNamara), Mad Horse, Manahawkin, Manasquan River, Medford, Nantuxent, Peaslee, Pequest, Port Republic, Stafford Forge, Walpack, Whittingham and Winslow. A current and valid Pheasant and Quail Stamp is also required at the Delaware Water Gap and National Recreation Area.
The hunter must sign the stamp across the face in ink. See License info
