Autobiography

Born Feb 12, 1967.Missed being a valentine's baby by two days, (sigh)...however, shared birthday with Abraham Lincoln, so it wasn't so bad missing out on Cupid. What am I like? Somewhat shy as a child, I'm still a bit standoffish, uncomfortable around crowds.I can be as stubborn as a mule, and as easily distracted as a cat is by a piece of string. I guess I'm the creative type, but so are most of my family!I like to keep busy, so it isn't surprising that I spend so much time working on the webpage, aside from helping out my husband at the store.

Grew up in Egg Harbor Township, so I haven't really moved very far from my roots.I love living on the shore, though. It's so different from the residental/rural area where I grew up (boonies-ville). There is a very enervating quality to life at the shore, so I put up with the periodic flooding. Okay, so it takes a shot of brandy to calm me down when the water's risin', you wanna make something of it?? Huh?? =) I still would rather live here than any place else! Crabbing and fishing out of my back door, fresh breezes blowing in from the bay, that homey smell of the marsh.....You get used to it, really you do!

Likes:All things fantasy and science fiction.Eqyptian culture(hence decor). BOOKS. I read quite a lot. One whole wall in our den is lined with bookcases, 8 shelves are devoted to children's books from tots to teens, with some toys mixed in. The other 12 shelves, plus an entire bookcase in the bedroom, and two shelves on the headboard of the bed, are mine. Although, I do share the headboard with Scott's Stephen King, Clive Barker, and Dean Koontz Collections(we share the Koontz).

Favorite Authors: Piers Anthony, David & Leigh Eddings, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Robert Heinlein, Anne MacAffrey, Elizabeth Scarborough, Susan Conant, Dean Koontz, Mercedes Lackey, Anne Rice, Agatha Christie, Robert Jordon, P.N. Elrod, Neil Gaimon, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Laurell K. Hamilton.  The list could go on forever, but these folks are all at the top.  I can't begin to count how many times I've read their books(over again, that is...like revisiting old friends).
