Fix-It!!
Getting Current Dates on Site Pages
We've received many e-mails and calls concerning the Daily Report or the
Catch of the Day showing old dates. User can't get current info to
come up, even by hitting the "Reload " or refresh feature of their browser.
Commonly, it is an AOL user, but I've included the other two commonly used browsers here as well.
HOW TO CLEAR CACHE (Old Files)
AOL
If you have version 4.0, there is a "Preference" button.
Click on that, then select "Personal File".
Then you have the option to empty/delete the contents of that file.
Periodically dumping this file also speeds up the aol browser, because
everytime you go to a site that you've been to before, the browser scans
the whole personal file first, and sometimes it won't go past the old file----hence, up comes an old report!
Try AOL online Help if you have an
older version that doesn't have the Preferences button.
Then RELOAD/REFRESH your browser
MOZILLA
On the upper browser bar:
Click on [Tools] then [Clear Private Data]
Make sure the ONLY [Cache] is checked off
Then hit the [Clear Private Data Now] button.
Then RELOAD/REFRESH your browser
Microsoft Internet Explorer
On the upper browser bar:
Click on [Tools] then [Internet Options]
Under the [General] tab, click on the [Delete Files] Button
Check off [Delete all offline content] then click [OK]
Then RELOAD/REFRESH your browser
