Crabbing Report: Mom retired Friday so took her on one of many to come crabbing trips to Motts Creek. Crabbed end of outgoing and a little of the incoming and brought home 2 dozen. Threw back about that many but had fun watching the crabs come down a small feeder creek in about 4-6 inches of water. Stayed in the same spot all day as we saw crab activity the whole time. They were quicker to the handlines as we watched them get real cautious near the traps. Not an outstanding day but have had way worse. (note: brought home way more bug bites than crabs, air was still and at low tide they killed us all day)

Location of Trip: Dividing creek
Moon Phase: Low Tide (Outgoing water)
Tide Crabbed: Low Tide (Outgoing water)
Weather Conditions: Partly Sunny/Partly Cloudy
Wind Conditions: less than 10 kts. N
Sea Conditions: 2-4 ft.
Bait Used: Chicken, Raw
Method of Catching: Handlines

Crabbing Report: Started in my boat around 7:30 am using fresh bunker and chicken on mostly handlines and had first dozen in first hour. At slack tide things cooled off a bit but started hitting them again when tide moved back in. When tide was moving we could barely keep up with the handlines, pulling up crabs left and right. Unfortunately there were alot of throw backs (70+ easily). All in all we left with 3 dozen after about 6 hours. All males , we threw all females back otherwise we would have had a dozen + more. Others crabbing from shoreline all went home with around a dozen. Looking forward to going back asap.
