Saturday, August 11, 2012 (Copied to crabbing section from where it was originally posted under our daily fishing report):
Joe Hartley would like to express to the person or persons who have been stealing crab traps in the Mystic Island creek areas --it wasn't Fish and Game that took them, he checked with the warden and they weren't blocking the water way-- that you aren't just disappointing the person who purchased and placed said traps, but you are also very much disappointing the children who might have been looking forward to going out and retrieving those crabs from their traps. Joe found it uncomfortably difficult to explain to his excited young daughter why her traps were missing from where they were placed along the little sod island in the middle of the lagoon near Roundabout Creek's entrance. The crab traps were uniquely marked with two duck decoys as their marker bouys. It would be nice if the traps were miraculously returned from the twilight zone.
Think, really think, about what you are doing when you take something that is not yours. |

Crabbing Report:
I am disappointed to report that 1 of my two crab pots yesterday was stolen in the matter of just (2) hours of soaking time in clear view of my home as well as many others at the inlet into tuckerton creek off parker road in tuckerton. Unless a dumb ass out of towner flew by on the wrong side of the channel then it was surely taken. No bouey nor trap below to be found so far. anyone else know of pots stolen recently let me know, this is just a heads up to the crabbers out there be ware of these thieves.
