REEL INFO: Beachmaster - To hard working saltwater anglers, the Penn general purpose reels, such as the Beachmaster, are as highly valued as mom, apple pie and the good old USA. These reels offer great value and serious features like durable aluminum spools, precision machined gears and Penn's famous HT-100 multi-disc star drag. (2000 Penn Catalog)

A version of the 155 without the star drag (model 156) was also manufactured, but only for a short time.
