REEL INFO:  Spinfisher Spinning reels (700 series) - You can fight game fish to a satisfying finish with these Penn Spinfisher Reels, and enjoy their silky smooth action. Strong, full range drags give you positive line control without chatter. Tungsten carbide line rollers won't groove. Stainless components include ball bearings. Won't rust, won't wear. Penn 702 is the left handed version of Penn 700, with right hand drive. (1966 Manual)

HISTORY:  In the mid-60's the first 700 series Spinfisher reels appeared on the market. These models, ranging from model 700 to 722 were colored gray, green or blue. In the late 80's these models were replaced by the 700Z series, of which some models are still for sale today. The 700 and 700Z series both include special models with the handle on the right side, to accomodate left handed anglers.
