Additional strength and protection come from a special stainless steel rear housing cover, coated with gleaming gold titanium nitride. Along with superior external construction, these reels feature internal components that mesh flawlessly to create a reel that soars high above the rest. MADE IN JAPAN (2000 Penn Catalog) HISTORY:  Manufactured overseas, Penn was looking to tap into the upper price line market with this sleek line of spinning reels. Unfortunately, I think the lack of the American made label might have been what did this series in.~ Mo Name/Series: PR900, Prion   Construction: Penn's exclusive Rotary Flat Oscillation system ensures that line will wrap on the spool smoothly and evenly at all times. Offset titanium nitride coated line roller to avoid line twist. Silent infinite anti-reverse system. Spool with elongated design allows for greater casting distance.
