Those wishing to enroll in a trapper education course should call the hunter education office at (856) 629-0552 to register. Trapper education courses are given four times throughout the state in the months of September and October.

Hunting & Trapping Licenses

All persons hunting or trapping must be properly licensed. It is unlawful for any person age 10 or older to hunt without hunting license. It is unlawful for any person age 12 or older to trap without a trapping license. See below for youth license information. All hunters and trappers must openly display their license and any applicable deer, turkey or bear permit in the middle or back on their outer clothing and must show their license to any police officer or any person requesting to see it.

Licenses, permits and stamps may be purchased using Fish and Wildlife's Internet sales site or from approved license agents. See their website for information on license agents and the new electronic licensing system. A small shipping and handling fee will be added when a license, permit or stamp is purchased through the internet sales site and must be sent to the purchaser through the mail. There is no additional fee for a license, permit or stamp that is eligible for self-printing.
Do NOT heat laminate the new, durable license or permit which you receive from an agent or in the mail. High temperature will destroy these waterproof documents.
