Additional Info: The Pequest Trout Hatchery's Annual Open House and Fishermen's Flea Market draws a crowd of about 10,000 people over the course of the weekend.
This is a great opportunity to display your wares and services. Spaces are $10 per 8 foot and spaces are limited, so hurry and call. If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact Jessica at 908-637-4125 Saturday through Wednesday.
Come celebrate the arrival of spring and the opening of trout season at the Pequest Trout Hatchery Open House. There are activities for people of every age. Come see some of NJ's wildlife artists, taxidermists and carvers. Get to know some of NJ's conservation groups and learn what they do for NJ's natural resources. Visit with historical reenactors or learn how to safely shoot a shotgun or bow. There are many activities for kids including fishing in our education pond for kids between the ages of 8 and 16 (all equipment provided), younger kids can try to catch a fish in our kiddie trout tank, or join our staff to learn about insects and fish biology. You can even take a self-guided tour of the hatchery and see where more than 600,000 trout are raised each year for NJ's rivers and streams.

On your right, you will pass signs for Dowling College, St. John's University and the West Sayville Golf Course. From Milford, PA- Take Rte 6 toward Hawley. When you get to where it intersects with Rte 434, make a right on to 434. At Shurway food Mart (on your left),(bear to the left), Rte. 590 starts. Stay on Rte. 590. In Approx. 3 miles you will be in Lackawaxen. Stay on Rte 590. Cross the Lackawaxen river by going over the Lackawaxen bridge. The river will be on your left hand side now. Continue for approx. 4 miles. You will come to a three way stop. (in Rowland). There will be a Cafe on the right. Make a right at that stop sign and go up the hill. Stay on Rte. 590. approx.4 miles. Take the road on your right immediately after the Cuckoo's nest. (Westcolang Rd.) it is 1/2 mile up on the right side.
